Call us to speak to one of our consultants or our nurse, on 1300 DR CHAN ( 1300 37 2426 or 02 9221 2928) so we can book and advise you on the consultation process and next available appointment times.

Why Do I Need a Consultation:

Your consultation is to confirm your requirements, discuss specifics like asymmetry, double bubble, natural anatomy and scar assessments. It is important that you are open and honest with us about your expectations and desires so that we can understand what you are wanting to achieve from the surgery. The decision for both surgery and size are completely at your discretion, but we will aim to be your support as much as possible with our expertise and experience. We are guided by what you naturally have to start with (your ‘natural base’) balanced with what you want to achieve. We also discuss and show you the differences between the implants available to you.

Some patients may have also lost weight, or have previously been pregnant/breastfed children, and so their breast shape may be droopy. A breast lift may also be required, in addition to implants, to achieve perkiness and overall breast rejuvenation.

Dr Chan may also assess patients who are considering an areola reduction (to reduce the size of the circle pigmentation around your nipples).

However, some patients are not suitable to have surgery and Dr Chan will try to communicate this as clearly as possible with any patient who may find limitations with their results because of the limitations in their anatomy or expectations of surgery. We encourage a discussion with your GP and/or a psychology expert to assist with your decision in having cosmetic surgery.

What Do I Need To Do Before My Appointment:

To give you the preparation you require for the consultation, please endeavor to complete the steps outlined below.

1. Email us your breast photos as demonstrated in our “Image Bank” along with brief description of what you would like to achieve. We can then assess you to see if you are suitable for Breast Enlargement.
2. Explore your visual objective with “Sizing” at home.
3. Download, complete the following forms and bring to consultation:

  • Patient Acquaintance
  • Breast Augmentation Options and Final Decision
  • What would you like to Achieve
  • Complications and Side Effects and “The Risks” associated with Breast Enlargement

(Email or call us and we will email the Consultation Pack to you)

4. (Therapeutic Goods of Australia – Governing Body for Medical Devices) Please Download and read through it thoroughly (DO NOT NEED TO BRING TO CONSULTATION)

What to bring on the day:

  • We suggest that you bring one supportive person (such as a partner or a friend) to your consultation. We kindly request no children to the appointment so that you are not distracted. This is a surgical consultation and your full attention is required for the full duration of the appointment.
  • Please bring a favourite top or work top, your rice bags and a bra you aspire to fill, for the sizing exercise
  • Photographs of your previous breast volume or desired results are also welcome for discussion.
  • Please be on time for your consultation, as your allocated appointment time is “fixed”. Expect to spend a total of approximately 90-120 minutes at our Macquarie St consulting suites; you will meet with a Cosmetic Surgery Consultant and Dr Chan. We will confirm your appointment 24hrs prior, please ensure you acknowledge this with a return call and/or sms, to secure your consultation. No Show or Cancelled appointments within this period are deemed to forfeit the appointment and the consultation fee.
  • Bring your completed Consultation Forms, along with any questions you want to ask Dr Chan

What happens after my consultation:

  • Your consultant may need to compile the notes taken from your consultation
  • However, you are still able to proceed with booking your surgery date while you wait for this information
  • At the end of your consultation, your consultant may give you the next available surgery dates along with a copy of the quote and payment details, so that you can secure your surgery. If you have not received this information, you are more than welcome to contact our office. Any of our administrative assistants will be able to forward these details to you so that you don’t miss out on your ideal surgery date
  • Booking a surgery date is a ‘first come, first served’ basis – to avoid disappointment in a date, have several dates you would consider for surgery and make a deposit payment once you are ready to proceed
  • It is also important to work together with your chosen support person and work schedule so that you have a suitable support person to pick you up and care for you after surgery, and reduced stress levels with some allocated time off from work during your recovery phase.
  • Please call us on 1300 DR CHAN to confirm the next available surgery date.
