Dr Zion Chan completed his medical degree at the University of Adelaide, Australia.

After internship, Dr Chan was accepted into the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons surgical training program amongst a large competitive field. Whilst in training Dr Chan, realising his special interest in cosmetic surgery, undertook extra instructional courses in rhinoplasty, facial anatomy and research to better equip himself for his intended cosmetic surgical career.

As part of his training, Dr Chan gained experiences though the Department of Ear Nose and Throat, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, Vascular and Plastic Surgery. Whilst with the Department of Plastic Surgery Dr Chan gained experience in the management of burns, plastic reconstruction, microsurgery, tendon and nerve repairs of hand injuries.

The training in the Royal Australian College of Surgeon is second to none in the world. Australian surgeons are recognised and well respected worldwide as their work is of the highest standard and quality.

Since the College of Surgeons does not provide training for cosmetic surgery as a speciality, Dr Chan therefore continued his training at the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS). The Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS) provides fellowship training specifically in cosmetic surgery. Dr Chan completed 2 years of required training in the ACCS.

After serious consideration, Dr Chan resigned from the traditional college – Royal Australian College of Surgeons as a surgical trainee and joined the Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery, in order to pursue cosmetic surgical experience and training. This enables Dr Chan to provide quality craftsmanship and care for his patients.

Dr Chan was the youngest cosmetic surgical registrar to be admitted to the AustralAsia College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS) amongst fierce competition. There he furthered his training with the college for 2 years.

Dr Chan proceeded to a two year professional association with Dr Eng Peng Tan, a renowned Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon. At the time he was one of the top leading surgeons for breast augmentation and rhinoplasty in Australia. Dr Tan’s specialty and ideology in the art, skill and technique of breast augmentation and rhinoplasty has been adopted by Dr Chan. Dr Tan retired in 2008 and conferred his practice to Dr Chan, Cosmetic Surgeon.

For continuing development, Dr Chan has a formal tea drinking session with Dr Tan every month. The wide topics of discussion range from fishing, life philosophies to current clinical practice and management in cosmetic surgery. Dr Tan continues to share his vast 35 years of surgical experiences with his only protege, Dr Chan.

Dr Chan was also accepted as an International Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. This is the gold standard body representative of Cosmetic Surgery in America for the last 25 years. The continuing education the academy provides is exemplary.

Dr Chan was accepted as an Associate Fellow of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery. This body solely specialises in cosmetic breast surgery and only accepts doctors who have performed at least more than 100 breast augmentations.

He places great importance on keeping up to date with the latest techniques and technologies, by travelling abroad to visit recognised clinics and attend international conferences. He is also involved with applied surgical research and has offered presentations at College Meetings.

Dr Chan is compassionate to the art of breast enlargement (Boob Job) and strongly believes the transformation it may provide.
He believes in the importance of balancing the body shape and allowing women to gain (or regain after pregnancy and/or weight loss) their feminine curves.

Dr Chan enjoys competitive soccer. He competes in a regular soccer league as a striker and scores frequently for his team. Dr Chan enjoys his sports as this adds a happy balance to his lifestyle.

He also balances his work life with his home life and a family who are extremely supportive throughout the advancement of his career.
